Blender Rigging - Battle of the Brothers

Hi everyone !

Today I tried playing with some rigging. I downloaded an animation that was already made in order to learn how it worked a bit more, and posed 2 characters in a arena from LoL. The lightsaber effect is, in my opinion, best transcribed in the wallpaper version, with less colors, but I thought the other version looked like a "night" version.

Please let me know what you think and if you have any advice on how to have a better lightsaber effect on Blender.
